How this works
Step 1 : Free Initial Consultation
All plans include a free initial consultation during which your needs will be taken into account, the scope of services will be explained and the complexity of your situation will be assessed. Should you decide to proceed further, a mandate will be drafted which will detail the scope of services to be provided and associated fees.
Step 2: Initial Meeting
The initial meeting is meant to go in detail over your financial situation to gather all the necessary information for the analysis and the development of a detailed financial and action plan.
Step 3: Analysis
Within two weeks of the initial meeting, a detailed analysis will be performed and a detailed financial and action plan will be developed with clear step by step recommendations tailored to your needs.
Step 4: Action Plan Meeting
Once ready, an action plan meeting will be scheduled to go over each recommendations from the action plan and to help you get set to manage your portfolio autonomously.
Follow-up
I also remain available if any questions come up after the second meeting by text, email and by phone.
Fee-only planning
Fee only planning means that I work with you in order to create a financial planning document that you can follow step by step in order to maximize your assets. I don’t manage your money, and you don’t pay any fees after the plan is created.
Unlike banks, or financial planners that work on comission, or for a fraction of the invested portfolio, fee-only planning is a one time expense in order to optimize your current financial situation. In the long term, a client can save thousands and more by avoiding recurring fees.
I am a strong proponent of ETF (Exchange traded funds) investing. It allows for diversification and is quite easy to set up, manage and grow. ETFs remove the guesswork involved with choosing specific stocks, or betting that this fund manager is going to get above market returns.
By concentrating on the one factor you can control, the fees paid to manage your account and to manage the investments, you will have a globally diversified, low cost and automatically balanced portfolio.
